A new outlook I just wanted to comment on Dr. Sarfati's "Critique of the introductory chapter of Hugh Ross new book A Matter of Days: Resolving a Creation Controversy". I really enjoy reading Dr. Sarfati's writing on the various subjects related to science and always find them very informative. His writings are always thoroughly documented and cross-referenced for an even fuller understanding of the subject at hand. My entire outlook has changed with the realization that it's not about age, it's not about old earth/young earth; it's about the framework we bring to the table in interpreting ANY set of data. Is God a loving, trustworthy God or isn't he? Are the Scriptures true and inerrant and able to be understood (with the help of the Holy Spirit) by anyone, or only the intellectual elite? Its almost a modern-day situation similar to what the reformers faced except that the university-trained scientist has replaced the papacy as far as ability to know what the Bible really says.
