Darwinian evolution was basis of Nazi legal system

Journal of Creation V(22)3

German judges denied the concept of God-given rights

‘Darwinian thinking underpinned the most basic features of Nazi legal order and theory’, said Augusto Zimmerman, lecturer in law at Murdoch University, Western Australia. Writing in the latest issue of Journal of Creation, Dr Zimmerman said, ‘There is very much a correlation between the Darwinian worldview of the Nazis and the policies they implemented.’

‘The Nazis saw themselves as progressive people, who were acting on behalf of evolutionary “science”, reason and progress. They consciously sought to make the practice of Germany conform to the theory of evolution.’

Zimmerman said the experience of Nazi Germany has important lessons for us today—crucial for the preservation of our human freedom and happiness. ‘Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime are the perfect illustration of what can occur when a civil government declares itself to be completely independent of God’s law.’
