David Down
David is a field archaeologist who takes a group of tourists to the Middle East every year. At the conclusion of the tour most of the tourists stay behind and work as volunteers on his digs, which are under the auspices of the Israeli Antiquities Authority. He publishes a monthly archaeology newsletter called Diggings, and the magazine ArchaeologicalDiggings, which is distributed by newsagents throughout Australia. He also records a weekly 15 minute archaeology talk which is broadcast over dozens of radio stations all over the world, including Moscow Radio, and conducts a monthly archaeology club in the Wesley Mission in Sydney.
