Fredric Field
Biography
Fredric Field is a published linguist who received a Ph.D. and M.A. in linguistics from the University of Southern California. He specializes in bilingual language acquisition and language contact phenomena, including pidgin and creole studies and other types of language mixing (code-switching, borrowing, and so on). His teaching emphasis is teacher preparation, particularly with regard to the awareness of non-standard dialects in the classroom.
