How long will we keep our heads in the sand? Many Christian leaders claim that creation/evolution is a ‘side issue’. However, the sad fact is that millions have been and are being drawn out of the church by the fact that they have not been given answers (in Genesis) to defend their faith. The following confession from a leading evolutionary biologist is all too typical. ‘As were many persons from Alabama, I was a born-again Christian. When I was fifteen, I entered the Southern Baptist Church with great fervor and interest in the fundamentalist religion; I left at seventeen when I got to the University of Alabama and heard about evolutionary theory.’ E.O.
