Plimer Settles Many will remember the famous ‘Ark court case’, in which Ian Plimer sued Allen Roberts (and was ordered to pay all of Roberts’ costs after Plimer had all his appeals dismissed). Many were not aware that Plimer’s action was actually of the nature of a countersuit. It was a tactical move, after Roberts had sued Plimer and a radio station for defamation. That defamation case was due to be heard shortly—we have just heard that Plimer and the radio station have reached a settlement with Allen Roberts. The terms cannot be disclosed because of the condition of confidentiality on the settlement. Dr Carl Wieland
