Recollections of an ex-gap-theorist

I can think of a reason S C hadn’t searched your site for the Gap Theory before sending his comment. I think he seems to have heard of the ‘became’ suggestion and then thought up his ideas by himself.

I thought of the same ideas myself when I was a teenager, and thought I was pretty clever. If you folks weren’t around to help people today, there’d be a lot more of it.
