Frank DeRemer received his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering, with Honors, and then his Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT (the Massachusetts Institute of Technology). His Ph.D. thesis was completed in 1969 and was ground-breaking in the area of the practical translation of (designed) computer languages. Frank was raised in a Christian home, but it took a while to “take”. He became sold out to Jesus in 1976 and was married to Lynda in 1977. The couple has two children, Elliot (19) and Charis (22), as of June 2004, both of whom are followers of Jesus.
