Emmett L. Williams

Biography

Emmett L. Williams has a B.S. and M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering. His education majored in physics, chemistry, and solid state studies. He has taught thermodynamics (his specialty), modern physics, solid state physics, physical chemistry and metallurgy. Emmett served on the Board of Directors of the Creation Research Society for 30 years and was its President for five of those years. He was on the editorial committee of CRS for approximately 20 years and served as editor of CRSQ in the late 1980s and again in the early 2000s. He edited and contributed to the CRS monograph “Thermodynamics and the Development of Order”, has published a series of papers on thermodynamics and creation as well as a series (based on lab work) on the rapid formation of stalactites and stalagmites. Emmett has also published a series of papers on geology in the 1990s and early 2000s and more recently a series on plant defences from a creationist perspective for Creation Matters.
