Shirley Heavenor

Biography

Shirley studied theology at Edinburgh University. For ten years she was part of the pastoral team at Church of Our Saviour in Singapore where she was responsible for Worship and the Creative Ministries.

She came back to Scotland in 1997 with her daughters. Memories of her own experience of school came flooding back one day, as her daughter described how she was patronisingly dismissed when trying to put forward an alternative view to evolution. Then, two years ago, after a serious illness, the Lord laid it on her heart that she was to concentrate on the creation/evolution debate.

She believes passionately that every man, woman and child has the right to know the truth about their origins. She believes that many more Christians from other professions should come alongside Christian scientists in exposing the myth and the tragic consequences, past, present and future, of the theory of evolution.
