Charles Darwin was the father of evolutionary biology, but how much do we actually know about him? No, he did not invent evolutionary theory. No, he did not come up with evolutionary theory while on the Galapagos Islands. He was a product of his times, and the science of his day was extremely limited compared to what we know today. If Darwin were alive today, and had access to our vast scientific knowledge that clearly shows how complex life is, would he still develop evolutionary theory?
