Assignment of copyright for submitted articles

Note: Our reason for this as standard policy (a common practice for publishers) is not to restrict or inhibit permission for the author to use his/her own work, etc (permission is often and liberally granted for this when requested) but so that we will be able to assume that if, years down the track, someone asks us for consent to translate or to reproduce, we will not have to sift through thousands of files to determine who owns the copyright, track them down, etc.
