Peter Howe Dip. Th., B.Th., M.A.
Biography
Peter worked as a primary-school teacher in Queensland, Australia, for four years before training for fulltime pastoral ministry, including at Melbourne Bible Institute (now Melbourne School of Theology). After fifteen years as an ordained Wesleyan Methodist minister with his wife Robyn in three churches in Queensland, Peter earned a Master of Arts degree in biblical literature at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, USA, in 1992.
Returning to Australia with Robyn and their young son Justin, he resumed pastoral ministry in Brisbane. He also wrote and taught courses in Old Testament and New Testament survey, hermeneutics, and introduction to theology as part of the Wesleyan Methodist Church’s Theological Education by Extension program.
Until his retirement in 2017, Peter worked for nine years in the bookroom at CMI-Australia. He is still occasionally called upon to preach in church, and from time to time gives much appreciated encouragement in devotionals to the staff of CMI in Brisbane, Australia.
